What are you playing?

Each week we’ll give you the low-down on the games that have been keeping the GGS Gamer staff busy on their consoles, PCs and handhelds.

Here’s what we’ve been playing this week …

Jay

  • Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age (PS4) – Oh my god! I’ve never played a mainline Dragon Quest game before… what have I been doing? Dragon Quest XI is an amazing game, it manages to bring so much old school mechanics into current generation gaming without it feeling out of place. I am yet to finish DQXI as I’ve been taking time out to review other games but I’m excited to see where the story goes and what challenges await me.
  • Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner MARS (PS4) – It felt so good to revisit this game in 4K. My full review can be found here.

Dan

  • 428 Shibuya Scramble (PS4) – I’m a sucker for quirky Japanese games. Although this is narrative driven without actual gameplay, it’s riveting. Nice mix of humor, action and creepy shit.
  • V-Rally 4 (PS4) – Watch for my review early next week!
  • Persona 4 Golden (Vita) – Yeah. I’ll play this game until I’m dead.

John

  • Spider-Man (PS4) – Well, that Spider-Man is pretty good, innit? The feeling of building up momentum as you swing through the city, bouncing off rooftops and knocking out criminals is an absolut joy. And it’s so good it’s even made me stop playing Divinity Original Sin 2… for now.

Sarah

  • World of Warcraft (PC) – I’ve been concentrating on gearing up my priest this week. The release of Warfronts have helped massively with, giving a piece of 340 item level gear each time you complete one.

This, just in: a turtle made it to the water!
