Arriving in December.
Nintendo has announced Fitness Boxing, a new Switch-exclusive workout game that will be arriving on December 21.
With its release coinciding with the holidays, Fitness Boxing seems like an excellent excuse to squeeze in an extra mince pie or two, especially as the game is able to estimate how many calories you’ve burnt, based on your BMI.
You’ll be learning boxing moves with the Switch Joy-Con controllers while accompanied by instrumental versions of popular songs – and you’ll be able to unlock more as you progress through your fitness journey. Each session ranges from 10 to 40 minutes with the option of more challenging “circuits” as you progress.
Fitness Boxing can be played in TV or tabletop mode. A two-player mode is also available, meaning you can team up with a friend as a training partner, whether that’s side by side or against one another in a virtual boxing ring.
Fitness Boxing will be available via retail or the Nintendo eShop on December 21.
