Get another look at the spooky ship.

Bandai Namco has released the second developer diary for the upcoming horror title, Man of Medan, the first game in The Dark Pictures Anthology and due for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019.

The video is the second part of ‘Designing the Ghost Ship’ and goes into further detail of the lengths the developers went to create the spooky environments. If you missed the first part, you can check it out here or jump straight into Part 2, below.

“We wanted it to feel like a dungeon,” explains Lee Robinson, Production Designer for Man of Medan, “So there are chains rattling and there’s smoke and mist and all of these atmospheric clues to horror films, that’s what we wanted to exist inside of this ship.”

Man of Medan is the first game in The Dark Pictures Anthology, which follows four friends on a diving trip, as they search for the wreckage of an old wartime vessel. You’ll be able to choose the character you want to play, giving you a different perspective on the story and the decisions that will need to be made, as well as the undeniable replay value.

The Dark Pictures Anthology was first announced back in August and is a series of games developed by Supermassive Games. Each game in the anthology will have a high focus on decision making with a number of storylines and outcomes decided by the player.

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019.
