“We are nothing without our teams and players.”

PUBG Corp. has announced a new set of funding initiatives that’ll see the competing teams and players across the game’s different competitive leagues benefit from online sales of merchandise. The company believes that the extra income will help US-based and European teams in offsetting the costs of league participation.

The way these initiatives will work is fairly simply. Merchandise based on participating teams will receive a potion of revenue made from those sales, which makes a lot of sense. There will also be direct support from PUBG Corp to help with other costs for teams, this mainly being for logistics rather than snazzy uniforms.

Speakin about the new programmes, PUBG’s chief marketing officer, Richard Kwon, said that the company is “nothing without our teams and players so it’s critical that we develop these programs to support our competitive scene and help teams build their brands.”
