It had to evolve to survive.

After six months of near constant updates, the Ark: Survival Evolved mobile version now boasts a host of new features that should keep those of you playing pretty busy.. The mobile version now boasts an exclusive game mode, a handful of new dino-monsters, and even a… photo mode, because everything needs to have a photo mode now.

The new game mode, which doesn’t appear to have a name, offers up a blend of PvP and PvE gameplay that will supposedly turn a single server into a chaotic mess but in a good way.

There are also new monsters to be found wandering along in-game, with the Baryonyx, Iguanodon, and Griffin all being introduced along with others. And when you spot one of these new dinosaurs, you can put the game’s new Photo Mode to use to snap a picture.

It’s not just new monsters though, the Dodo and Spinosauraus have been given new features, with players able to breed Dodo for new rewards and skills. You’re even able to breed Dodos to the point that you’re able to ride them, which is objectively wonderful news.

There are also a handful of tech-related issues that have been sorted out for the game, with localisation for French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Along with that, there are now server transfer capabilities for the mobile version, meaning you won’t have to start from scratch if you can’t find that one specific server.

The latest update for ARK’s mobile version is available now.
