Ahead of its release next month.

Bigben Interactive and Eko Software have released a story trailer for Warhammer: Chaosbane, the upcoming action-RPG set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe.

The trailer gives a glimpse at the events that lead up to the game; civil war has broken out in the year 2301 and the tribes of the Chaos Wastes, headed by a Kurgan warlord, sack the largest city in the kingdom of Kislev. The Chaos hordes ranks are eventually broken as Magnus, the soon-to-be emperor, leads an army against them and defeats the warlord Kul in single combat.

Warhammer: Chaosbane takes place after these events in a world ‘still marked by the Great War against Chaos.’ You’ll be able to choose from four playable characters, each with unique playstyles and abilities – we’ve already been treated to trailers showing off Konrad Vollen, Elontir, and Bragi Axebiter in action.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is set for release on PC on June 4. We played the beta a while back so you can get an idea of what’s in store with our preview.
