Square Enix opened their E3 2019 Press Conference with the original title screen for Final Fantasy VII with the classic options and one extra option, “Remake?”

“Remaking Final Fantasy VII has allowed us to dive much deeper into the world and its characters than ever before,” Yoshinori Kitase said on stage. “The game design was optimized for this title as well, and we anticipate two Blu-ray discs worth of gameplay content. The first game in this project expands on the story of Midgar, and is such an elaborate retelling that it has become a solid standalone game in its own right.”

They showed off an extended trailer and gameplay footage for the battle system and the Guard Scorpion boss battle which you can check out below.

Square Enix revealed at the end of the extended trailer which can be found at the top of the page, they revealed the various editions you can purchase.

Deluxe Edition

Final Fantasy VII Remake Deluxe Edition comes with a Sephiroth Steelbook, Hardback Artbook, Mini Soundtrack and Cactuar Summon DLC as well as a Chocobo Chick Summon as pre-order DLC.

1st Class Edition

The Square Enix Store exclusive, Final Fantasy VII Remake 1st Class Edition comes with all the Deluxe Edition with an addition summon in Carbuncle and of course, the beautiful Cloud Strife on the Hardy Daytona Motorbike Figure.

English Voice Cast

After the State of Play trailer back in May, fans of Final Fantasy VII noticed the voices of their favourite cast weren’t the same as before and they are correct… below is the brand new cast that will be bringing them to life.

  • Cloud Strife: voiced by Cody Christian (All American, Teen Wolf)
  • Barret Wallace: voiced by John Eric Bentley (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Independence Day: Resurgence)
  • Aerith Gainsborough: voiced by Briana White (Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Occupants)
  • Tifa Lockheart: voiced by Britt Baron (GLOW)
  • Jessie: voiced by Erica Lindbeck (Spider-Man, Persona 5, ThunderCats Roar)
  • Biggs: voiced by Gideon Emery (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Teen Wolf)
  • Wedge: voiced by Matt Jones (Breaking Bad)
  • Sephiroth: voiced by Tyler Hoechlin

Final Fantasy VII Remake launches first for PlayStation March 3rd 2020. And those luck enough to be at E3 get to experience a demo at the Square Enix booth from June 11th to the 13th.
