Future Wars Review

Things that have made today a good day, 1: Another game was sent to me to review! 2: I’m eating Bacon… The game sent to me this time is “Future Wars” for the PC. I had some issues with Windows Vista being amazing as usual but it’s all good. Considering I have never really played a strategy game, for the purposes of this review I brought over my friend who we shall call “Mr Strategygame”, because he plays them… a lot. The both of us combined should make this fair, now on with the review! Future Wars is a casual, futuristic, turn based strategy game that costs £12.99 from the “Impulse” game store. You play as “Max” a newbie student in the halls of a military academy who spends a lot of his time being yelled at by a Drill Sergeant guy and a spandex jumpsuit wearing lady by the name of “Howitzer”. There is a story to this game and some of the dialogue is quite funny, it isn’t very memorable but the basic outline of the plot is that Max has to train to fight in the wars of the future… and then fight in the wars of the future! The campaign has 16 levels which doesn’t sound like a huge amount but you will probably replay them a few times because this game can be tricky...

The Glitch Report : April – 2010

Welcome to Girlgamerssuck.com’s Glitch Report. If there is a Glitch or abnormality in a videogame, I am the one who is bound to stumble across it and this Glitch Report will outline the most prominent and downright outrageous Glitches that I and others have discovered in games recently. I also encourage you to post your own Glitch experiences in the comments below! Hello all, it’s a bit late (blame coursework) but The Glitch Report has returned. This April has been packed full of interesting Glitches so let’s not waste any time! Resident Evil 5, PS3 I’ve been playing this game quite a lot lately with Vixx and we do have a huge amount of fun laughing at various things that Chris Roid- sorry, Redfield and Sheva Bloodyirritati- sorry, Alomar get up to. During the Marshlands level however we found a little tiny Texturing / Meshing Fail on the ground. In the first little fenced off island where you find the… Beast slate? (I’ve Played through this game over 20 times and I still don’t know). As you walk in, where the fence ends on the left, stand exactly in front of the fencepost of the entrance and have your partner look at you. They will be amazed at your levitation skills! Or just giggle at the blatant fail of course. See the horrendously poor quality mobile phone picture at...

Alan Wake: First hours Review

Did you ever buy a game that you have been waiting a year or so for and then been severely disappointed? I have, it’s happened a few times to me. That’s why even though I was so badly looking forward to this game, I still felt anxious as I handed over £50 for my Limited Collectors Edition of the new Survival Horror, Action game “Alan Wake” but I have to tell you, I think it is a bargain! This is my review of the first hours of gameplay and no don’t worry, there will be no spoilers… Promise! First of all I would like to say that the Collectors Edition Packaging is stunning! It’s made up to look like a book that unfolds to reveal the game, a sleeve holding the Soundtrack CD and a bonus disc which holds developer’s commentary and a book called “The Alan Wake Files” which is excellently made and I can’t wait to read it once I’m done with the game’s story mode. This will surely take pride of place with my “Bioshock 2” special edition and all the others I have collected over the years. If you haven’t watched the prequel videos on the Xbox Marketplace or online yet then you should do before you play this game because they really psyche you up for what’s to come and warn you of the...

I love you Dead Space ! Ok enough fanboying, this trailer looks so epic! It doesnt show anything gameplay wise – Which I think is great. What it does show is snippets from conversations and psychology ink blots that morph into Necromorphs. It ends with the line that leaves me needing this game, “Isaac, we’re all gonna burn for what we did to you” … I WANT IT NOW PLEASE MISTER AND MISSES EA! Click the link up there to see the trailer, or if you’re lazy like me and want to see it here <— Then click. What does everyone think? Tell us in the...
