Destiny 2 release window finally confirmed by Activision

Destiny 2 release window finally confirmed by Activision

Activision has confirmed that Destiny 2 will release in Q3 (which is some time between July and September) 2017. In a recent investor call, the publisher also detailed “follow-on content plans” which “set the stage for growth”. While we’ve yet to have confirmation yet of whether or not our existing Guardians will carry over – or if the game will, as rumoured, finally come to PC – developer Bungie is thought to be doubling-down efforts on a “great cinematic” story that will be “more accessible to a casual player”. “The cornerstone of that is a great cinematic story,” said Activision’s Eric...

EA community manager drops Skate 4 tease

EA community manager drops Skate 4 tease

Dan Lingen, senior community manager at EA, tweeted a single hashtag on Saturday… And madness ensued. #skate4 — Daniel Lingen (@HuskyHog) January 28, 2017 Who’d have guessed it, eh? Turns out we don’t need cinematic trailers, demos, or betas to get excited – all we need is a zippy hashtag and a one-word tweet to lose our collective minds. Interestingly, despite 20K likes and 10,000+ retweets and what must have surely been a timeline explosion, Lingen hasn’t referred to it again. Which only makes me even more suspicious. And excited. Did I mention that I was excited? What do you think? Is...

Bethesda Releases Another Dishonored Teaser to Celebrate Early Access

As Dishonored 2 goes live for Early Access players tomorrow, Bethesda has released a new launch trailer. Dishonored 2 is available a day early for players who pre-ordered the game. Pre-orderers will also receive a code for the excellent Dishonored: Definitive Edition, too – a remaster of the original game for current-gen rigs/consoles. The teaser showcases some of the new powers we’ve seen before, along with a selection of new abilities. I suspect this playthrough will be High Chaos… Fifteen years after the events of Dunwall sees you reprise your role as the non-o-syllabic Corvo Attano, but this time you can also assume...

Here’s What’s New in The Division’s Latest Update

Here’s What’s New in The Division’s Latest Update

Ubisoft has made a significant number of tweaks to Tom Clancy’s The Division. As detailed on the official website, Update 1.4 heralds changes to the UI, gameplay improvement that include lowering time-to-kill enemy NPCs, “many improvements” to enemy AI, better matching of Vendor stocks to player level, and a 50 percent boost in ammo capacity after level 30. Most notably, however, are new World Tiers “that controls the level of enemy NPCs encountered and the quality of the loot they drop”. This will help players level up without resorting to the (still unbalanced) Dark Zone, or taking on Incursions. Each Tier can be...
