Is it time for new consoles

Of course, we have rumors all over the place about PS4 specs and the Next Xbox stuff, but is it really time for new consoles. I mean, I am not out there thinking my Xbox 360 or my PS3 are feeling outdated. Sure, I can go to my PC and see games like The Witcher 2 that blows away the console version, but I feel that visuals are the only thing that a new generation of hardware will bring us.

I doubt that things like improved AI or a deeper and richer world will come from new hardware, and that is where I think the investment needs to be had. I think that is why I am against new hardware at this point. I just have the feeling that new hardware will only give us greater visuals and keep the same stagnant worlds that we currently know.
