Need you to tell me why I should - or should not - pick up a Vita. Let's hear your reason! :)

Someone say Vita? Tricky subject for the most part. Mine is currently just sitting in the bottom of my bag, which is a step up from my 3DS being left at home to be fair.

It is a very nice bit of kit, undoubtedly seems better than the PSP did and the games look pretty swish. I think the whole Cross-Buy stuff at Gamescom has made it seem worthwhile though. It's just a shame the memory cards are so expensive, hopefully my 8GB one will last a little while.

I think the Cross-Buy initiative and some of the new titles from Gamescom, like Tearaway, and AC3 Liberation are a good reason to get it, just not right now.

I am going to get one. Right now, Newegg has me tempted, as they have the Vita, 4GB memory card and Uncharted for $249. But I am thinking of holding off for the AC Liberation bundle, as that white PS Vita looks sexy as fuck.

Right now, I am just torn on the lack of stuff I want to play on it. I would be there right now if I knew NBA 2K13 would be on it, but its not. Beyond Lumines and Mortal Kombat Vita, the only other game I have to have is Persona 4 Golden.

I also hear it makes PSP games look great, so I wonder how more lifelike the DOA girls will look in DOAX Paradise on Vita!

And one month later, this troll brings this thread back to life...

Yeah, that AC Liberation bundle is making me consider things. Very unhealthy for the checkbook, but it's making me consider things.

No, based on Near alone.

What an utter mess.

Yeah, the AC bundle is pretty cool, and playing as a completely different character in the female lead should make for some interesting scenarios.

Also, at Tony, why the hate on the Near Field Communication stuff. I think that could be pretty cool once developers dig into it a bit. I still think the soft game releases are the sticking point. It needs more games. More games that tout the system and its features to make it more compelling. Well, that and a $50 to $75 price cut.

^ Point. There aren't a lot of titles out for the PS Vita that makes it one of those "I have to buy this" sort of things right now. Aside from AC Liberation, there's...not a lot of pull to the system.

I think that a make or break moment for Vita will be the start of October, when the Vita is officially added into the PlayStation Plus program. Not sure what they are going to do for it, but there are a lot of PSP titles they could offer up for free, or deep discounts on current titles. I doubt they will give anything away for free from the current lineup, unless it was a launch title.

Maybe they will try to hammer home Vita sales by offering up Uncharted Golden Abyss for free? Could be a sale starter.

So I bought one. I've played it, like, twice. FFS.

Although we're going away for the weekend, so I'd imagine I might get my game on when away. Maybe. :P
