Asura's Wrath may be...
the most underrated and overpriced game ever to exist. This game is completely insane in the membrane. Yes, it is mostly quicktime events, and yes, its fighting controls leave a lot to be desired, but the end result is something that might come out of a mentally unstable person.
Everytime I load up and play a chapter, I find myself thinking, "it can't get crazier than that.", and then it does. Surely there can't be something more awesome than an enemy that is bigger than the earth and you fight his finger, but then you come across a guy that stabs an entire planet with his sword. Yes, his sword goes through the planet and comes out the other side. It is batshit crazy.
And yet with all of this insanity, I could never justify paying $60 for it (plus the $7 ripoff DLC to get the "true" ending). Sure, I am renting it through Gamefly, but there was no way I was going to buy this at $60. It is just not enough of a game to warrant it. Why Capcom and CyberConnect 2 did not go with a $30 or $40 price point is beyond me as they could have made far more money and sales instead of increased rentals.
But it is one hell of an experience.
