This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we go off the rails a bit with some Paradise City discussion, but we get back on track to talk about the movie of the moment and possibly the summer, Avengers. Find out which one of us loved it, which one thought it was okay and which one could care less about seeing it. Also, we look at 38 Studios and some of the insanity happening with the company after a bizarre week of events.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Fourhman is Wrong” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Mothership Connection” by Parliment and “Sex Farm” by Spinal Tap.

GGS Gamer Talks Diablo III with Josh Mosquiera

While taking in the entire launch event for Diablo III, I did get a few moments to sit down with the lead designer for the exploration of a console version of Diablo III, Josh Mosquiera. In our sit down, we talk about getting a game like Diablo III out the door after a long development period, a little on PvP delays, asking about expansion packs, and of course, prodding for a little more information on the possible console release of Diablo III.

I was a bit upset that we only had 15 minutes to spend with Josh, but when things are going fast and furious like they were on this night, I was happy he could take the time out of his schedule for our GGS Gamer listeners.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we take a look at the huge gamble that Marvel took on linking up their recent franchises and the success they have had with merging them into The Avengers movie. We look at how much of a feat it was to make this all happen, and how it could have all fallen apart during any step of the way. We also look at DC and why they have not be able to mimic the success with the often rumored JLA movie.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “GGS Assemble” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “50 Ft. Queenie” by PJ Harvey and “Jiggable Pie” by AMG.

You Like The Worst Stuff #23 - Xbox 360 Is All About Netflix

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we look at a recent article where it was shown that the primary use of the Xbox 360 seems to revolve more around entertainment options rather than gaming. Does this strike at the heart of the hardcore gamer, or is it merely a statistical anomaly, where hardcore gamers are getting all of there needs from their console, including entertainment and gaming.

Also, we talk about all the normal stuff, like what we are doing and a little detour into how Fourhman does everything with Hero Academy…everything.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Netflix 4 Life” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe.
This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we look at the big news of the week, which just happens to be about Giant Bomb being bought out by CBS Media, home of Gamespot. Why would this be big news? Well, maybe it has a little to do with the fact that Jeff Gerstmann, the man that was fired from Gamespot over review scores, is now coming back to the same offices where he was let go so many years ago. Is this a good thing or bad thing and the implications of the merger in general.

We also jump into an interesting arguement in the political arena, as we talk about Republican Presidential hopeful, Rick Santorum and his new pitch to outlaw porn as we know it. Is he really crazy enough to take on Larry Flynt?

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Hardcore Porn” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Stephen Munn and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Heavenly Star” by Genki Rockets and “Hit” by The Sugarcubes

<itunes:subtitle>You Like the Worst Stuff #20: Take Us on an Expensive Journey</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we jump into a story about a political figure, who is making pretty good money as an elected official, who decided to buy iPads, PS3′s and more with campaign funds, thinking he would not be found out. Also, we jump into the discussion on the game Journey and our inner struggles with trying to shell out $15 on a game that while impressive, will only entertain for about an hour and a half of time. Also, Haygood struggles with trying to hold off on a Vita purchase.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Vita Fan Boy” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Stephen Munn and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “The Moon and the Prince” from the Katamari Damacy soundtrack and “Kiss” by Art of Noise featuring Tom Jones.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we look at all things Assassins Creed 3, as there was a ton of information that dropped on to the web about this new title. We now have screens of the main character, who appears to be Native American, as well as the setting, which appears to be the Revolutionary War of the Americas. Good luck finding a building taller than two stories to jump from in that setting! We also talk about the new Avengers trailer and how Marvel has created such a great cohesive gel for all of their properties, something we hope DC will do soon with the JLA.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “PODCAST ASSEMBLE” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Stephen Munn and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Take Your Mama” by The Scissor Sisters and “The Power” by Snap.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, Fourhman and Haygood talk about the big news of the week, which is of course, the PS Vita. We look at its weird launch, which sort of happened on the 16th of February, but is not actually out until February 22nd, officially. We also talk about its sustained chances, how it compares to the 3DS and whether it can compete in a new landscape where mobile phones are becomes the place to game on the go.

Also, a weird idea comes up towards the end of the podcast that borders on the morbid and involves of all things Singstar and a create bet that Fourhman wants the listeners to undertake. Make sure to listen all the way through to make a decision on whether Haygood gets banned from the Singstar community with his latest idea.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Yes, the Vita will Conquer” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Stephen Munn and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Under Your Spell” by Desire and “Dragonborne” by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Soundtrack.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we look at the show American Idol and try to figure out what the show can do to gain back viewers that might have left the show. Do you replace the judges or is it getting the contests to be more serious. Or are we just talking out of our asses. Also, Kelly Clarkson is pretty hot.

We also look at Kickstarter and how it could change the way that more mainstream projects are funded after Tim Schafer made over a million dollars in two days on Kickstarter. He wanted to make an adventure game, but no one would publish it, so we used Kickstarter and it was a huge success.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Really, a Motley Crue Title” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Stephen Munn and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Love Long Distance” by The Gossip and “Reggie” by The Sounds.

This week on You Like The Worst Stuff, we get into several subjects that are important to all of you out there including things like Adam Lambert joining Queen, or how good it is to be a PlayStation Plus member in the month of February. We also jump into the discussion about the latest Mass Effect novel and how it has bombed with the fans due to inaccuracies.

And of course, there are our musings about what we are doing during the week and random tangents galore. Even my son makes an appearance during the bloopers because his discussion was more interesting than myself and Fourhman tonight.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Junior Illusive Man” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Stephen Munn and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “The Incredible Hulk Them” by Daniel Crane and “Somebody Told Me Remix” by The Killers and Team 9.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we welcome the return of Stephen to the podcast after a long extended absense. I mean, after you have conquered the world and done just about everything you can, including dating a supermodel, what else is there but You Like the Worst Stuff, so he is back to talk up all things he is doing in life.

Our discussion also takes us to strange places like Uwe Boll movies, television and a brief detour into cruiseliners getting too close to shore.

We are not sure about anyone else, but most of us here on You Like the Worst Stuff are extremely happy that 2011 is over, as it spares us from having to pay attention to some of the trash that was released. Tony, Fourhman and Haygood take awards shows in a different direction as they look at some of the worst stuff that came out in 2011. From Terra Nova to X-Men Destiny to Zooey Deshenel, we talk about what we think were the worst in several industries throughout the year. We even break out of the mold to talk sports, as we were all tired of Tebowing.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “I Hate Terra Nova” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Power” by Kanye West and “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we take a break from the discussions about Pan Am, terrible Michael Bay movies and whether or not Zelda is a decent franchise to talk about one of the greatest games ever created – Saints Row The Third. Yes, Fourhman and Haygood talk about everything and all things Saints Row The Third related.

This is a full on spoilercast, so be forewarned that we are going over endings, plot points, weapons, characters and a lot more that will kill any surprises for you if you have not completed the game. Just download it and save it for later when you finish the game…we’ll wait. And I should never need to remind anyone of this, but make sure to listen all the way through, it is well worth it.

You Like the Worst Stuff #10: Every Day is Christmas for Fourhman

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, Fourhman, Tony and Haygood look over the holiday gift giving period to discuss what they received from their friends and family. For some, it was a time of Steam purchases, whereas others were happy to get a few great titles they were missing from their new portable library. And then for some, they piss on the parade to discuss how everyday is Christmas! Okay, I kid, but it was funny to hear Fourhman talk up buying everything he wants during the year. Mr. Moneybags to be certain.

We also find out that the great Pan Am was offered up for free on the iTunes marketplace for those that might have missed out on this critical masterpiece of the 2011 Fall TV season. In all seriousness, we hope you enjoy the show and we all wish everyone a belated happy holidays from the You Like the Worst Stuff posse.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Still Loving Pan Am” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Samuel Jackson” by Hot Action Cop and “Never Can Say Goodbye” by The Communards.

You Like the Worst Stuff #9: No Manimal, but a CHiPs Remake Totally Happened

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we look at the idea of revisiting old franchises to relaunch then or revitalize them for new audiences. We look at franchises across all mediums including games, movies, television and even comics in regards to the new DC relaunch. Sadly, Manimal is not being remade for all of those that are pining for a revisit to this classic NBC franchise.

The discussion also veers off a bit on Aston Kucher and some of the music breaks that have been used over the last few weeks and how Haygood routinely loves some of the worst stuff imaginable, after admitting to watching the first GI Joe film again.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Pining for Manimal and Automan remakes” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Short Skirt and a Long Jacket” by Cake and “Jive Talkin’” by The Bee Gees.

This week in the Worst Stuff, the three of us start off on a weird tangent on all things Saved By The Bell, helping us live up to our podcast title. From there our discussion works around what we are doing this week, as we get into an in-depth discussion on how Fourhman is playing Skyrim wrong and how Tony has found love with the 3DS.

Other things covered include the possible dredded fate of show favorite Pan Am, and how Haygood has been enjoying the hell out of a little joint called Saints Row The Third. It is everything he could want from a game and more. For more hilarity, we talked about the “Winged Butterfly” in Rescue Me, but in haste to quote, Haygood was naming it incorrectly. It is the Venus Butterfly. See more on this from Spider Man below.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Standing on the Edge of Tomorrow” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): Dance Wiv Me by Dizzee Rascal and La Rage by Keny Arkana.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, the crew bring back an annual tradition of discussing their Black Friday playbook, except we all had one issue – none of us found anything to drive us to the stores on Black Friday. Sure, there were some decent deals out there, like Batman Arkham City for half price and even new titles like Assassins Creed Revelations for $25 off, but overall, we found the deals a bit weak. Also, it was a fairly violent Black Friday, with pepper spray, shootings and fist fights hampering a good shopping day.

From Black Friday, Tony brings us to some of the upcoming pilots that the networks are looking into bringing to the small screen next fall, and we notice a couple of trends, including a lot more comedies with some names like Roseanne, Dane Cook and others returning to the mix, or revisits to old series like the Munsters. We also notice that reality television is starting to make a retreat on networks, as they look to more filmed shows, with the exception of Fear Factor, which made everyone a little more sad knowing that Joe Rogan will be back on our televisions.

The podcast is mixed by Joseph “Pepper Spray” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): Can I Get Get Get by Junior Senior and Jack U Off by Prince.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we finally have a deep and meaningful discussion on Green Lantern as Haygood has finally sat down and watched this film. Did he piss Fourhman off with it or was there an everlasting peace formed between the two? Does Tony even care about Green Lantern? All of these deep thoughtful questions are probed within.

We also look at the trend of Black Friday bringing deep cuts to brand new games. Some of the new titles getting huge cuts on Black Friday include Assassins Creed Revelations, Need for Speed the Run, Batman Arkham City, Dance Central and more. Is this a disturbing trend that will keep people from buying these games at launch, or is the price of being an early adopter to a new title?

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff we take take a minor detour on the Wii U before heading into the crux of our discussion which is the recent hulaballo over the Catwoman DLC and how it was never actually announced as an “Online Pass” type of content until a week or two before the launch of Batman Arkham City. Does this lack of knowledge hurt the game overall, or does it really matter. We also look at GameStop deciding to include codes for the DLC with used copies of Batman Arkham City and if this is a decent way to get publishers some of the money back on a used game.

We also look at the recent announcement with Nintendo financials and try to figure out if it is a more of an issue with their products lacking at the register or if the exchange rate is killing them more than anything else.

We wrap with our Worst Stuff of the Week and of course, talk on all sorts of miscellaneous items along the way in this hour plus debacle of a podcast!

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we take a look at the early cancellations that have occurred on broadcast TV here in the States. Things like The Playboy Club and Fox basically cancelling anything that has a pulse come up this discussion, along with Haygood’s complex love affair with Pan Am. We also look into the recent announcement from Microsoft about Live TV and how it affects those that have Xbox 360 consoles and if this is the last ditch effort for cable to stem the tide of lost subscriptions. We also do a round of what we are into this week in games, television, movies and more and we now have a neat closing section for the show called The Worst Pick of the Week.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, the group talk about the legacy of Steve Jobs and how he impacted their lives. Some talk of how it got them into computers, while others shaped their careers in the future. Surprisingly, there is not one bash on Microsoft or Apple at any point, except when the Lisa and Newton are brought up, but that should be expected.

Other discussions on the show revolve around Activision renewing their licensing agreement for X-Men and Spider Man games and a quick look at one of the best gaming commercials you will see in some time.

Hello everybody and welcome to the newest podcast from the GGS Gamer family of podcast. With You Like the Worst Stuff, we look to expand our coverage from just games into the geek culture that surrounds them. Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Joe Fourhman and Stephen Munn look to discuss comics, movies, television, books and yes, even video games. You will also find out that as podcasters, we like the worst of all these ventures. I will even go out on a limb and state that at least one of us probably loves Jar Jar Binks and enjoys the Special Editions of the Star Wars movies. We might even herald Howard the Duck as a masterpiece of cinema. Okay, maybe we aren't that bad, but sit back and join us for an hour of geek culture discussion.

The podcast was mixed and produced by our mixmaster, Stephen Munn.
