You Like the Worst Stuff Episode #71: The One Where Joe and Tony Pretty Much Take Nintendo's Side on Everything

Between EA, Let’s Play and the last Direct, it’s been three strikes for Nintendo. Or has it? Mssrs. Sadowski and Fourhman discuss Nintendo’s very weird week, where we learned that there’s no Madden for Wii U, but there’s plenty of Sonic, and everything we say is owned by Nintendo. HEAR about Fourhman’s bizarre interactions with inconsolable Sonic fans. LISTEN to Tony wonder about America’s recent raft of scandals. SUGGEST that Haygood was too tired from moving furniture to participate in this week’s show. Also: Animal Crossing New Leaf, Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon, and have we mentioned how awful Sonic fans are?

The podcast is mixed by Joe “Yes I am late again” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Once Upon A Time In The Projects” by Ice Cube and “Your Love” by Nikki Minaj.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we dive back into the reader mail bag to answer questions from our lovely readers. We also took a few minutes to hit on the new GTA V videos that dropped a week ago, and how Rockstar seems to be on fire when it comes to making trailers that come together so well, both visually and with their music selections. We also find out that Fourhman hates “Radio GaGa” by Queen.

The podcast is mixed by Joe “To Michael!” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe.
Apologies in advance for this week’s delayed Worst Stuff, but a lot of bad stuff happened in the middle of this recording, so it took a bit longer than expected to post.
This week on the Worst Stuff, we of course hit on the announcement from Microsoft that announced “the next step in gaming and entertainment”. No, those aren’t bold words to live up to at all. We also talk about whether Nintendo ditching their E3 press conference is a good or bad thing. And you know there is no way we could let a podcast go by without talking about the greatest app to ever hit the Xbox 360. No, not HBO GO. No, not the CW App either. Listen in to find out what it could possibly be.

GGS Interviews: Megan Massacre

The idea of a game site reviewing a tattoo artist is one that might be about as odd as say, reviewing movies from an online video store. Of course, that initial assumption would be wrong as I had a chance to talk to Megan Massacre, one of the stars of both America’s Worst Tattoos and NY Ink, who just happens to have a huge Xbox 360 addiction.

In our discussion, we got to talk a bit about Megan’s introduction into gaming (Nintendo consoles) and how that morphed into her obsession with the Xbox 360 as her current game console of choice. We also talked a bit of shop about the possiblilities of maiking a tattoo game, her other hobbies and projects and even World of Warcraft.

You can download the interview directly from here. The interview is also available from on the You Like the Worst Podcast feed. The music used in this interview is as follows (in order of appearance): “Tattoo” by Jordan Sparks and “Video Games” by Lana Del Rey.

I mean, who isn’t upset over the fact that they will no longer be able to get their weather from their Wii. Or their news for that matter. Yes, we talk about the WiiConnect24 connection going down this summer along with the idea that normal sex is fine for a comic book, but homosexual sex is not.

This week on the Worst Podcast in existence, we talk about some pretty terrible stuff, just to live up to our name. Topics included some love/hate on the rumored always online Xbox, Aliens Colonial Marines sparing Wii U owners from a terrible fate, Ouya takes a few rough knocks out of the box and so much more. And we even have a corrections section for our “Zunnies” out there that were screaming at the podcast like I was last week.

This week’s You Like the Worst Stuff went completely off the reservation, as it went in more tangents than an episode of Lost. Discussions were had about Metal Gear Solid 5, the Metacritic algorithm being exposed, no Unreal Engine 4 coming to the Wii U and much, much more. Just know that without Haygood at the helm, there is guaranteed to be a ton of Nintendo talk and most likely, Xbox mockery.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we decided to keep the new format, so you will get to hear about our feelings on the Capcom announcement for Duck Tales Remastered. Do we want it? Will it be any good? Is our nostalgic memory playing tricks on us? We look at all of these questions, while poking some good humored fun at Disney Interactive.

Of course, we still have our What We are Doing segment and some other fun laughs as well. Make sure to rate and review us on whatever service you use to grab the podcast. Every last metric helps us, and it makes us feel pretty damn good if I do say so myself.

<itunes:subtitle>You Like the Worst Stuff #63: Live from Duckburgh</itunes:subtitle>

<itunes:summary>This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we decided to keep the new format, so you will get to hear about our feelings on the Capcom announcement for Duck Tales Remastered.

The podcast is mixed by Joe “Duck Tales” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Cinderfella Dana Dane” by Dana Dane, and “Rippin’” by Sir Mix A Lot.

Apologies in advance for this week’s You Like the Worst Stuff. We had some recording technical issues that had to be worked out on the mixing side, and then the laptop I use to edit the podcast with decided to crap all over itself, which has made for a very difficult week. Needless to say, the podcast is being released late.

That said it is a good podcast, as we talk about MLB 13 The Show, the complaints around the size of Lego City Undercover and the Wii U hard drive and of course, Saints Row IV.

The podcast is mixed by Joe “What Day is It?” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Shout 2000″ by Disturbed, and “Once I Was Lost” by New World Revolution.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we talk about the implosion that was the SimCity launch. Yes, SimCity launched and its launch went horribly wrong as servers were crashing, people were complaining with EA and Maxis caught in the middle of a PR nightmare. The bigger question from this is how does it affect our future with online connectivity becoming more and more a requirement for consoles moving forward.

The podcast is mixed by Joe “SimWhat? I was Playing Tomb Raider” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “Blind Faith” by Chase and Status, and “Show Me a Sign” by Modestep.

I would say this week on the Worst Stuff, but we are a week behind with this podcast. There were some technical issues in the editing process, but Tony and myself managed to have a great discussion about the PlayStation 4 announcement. We talk about the actual, the theoretical and then the hyperbole for this new console. We also banter around what could be a very interesting fall season. We also chat a bit about how consoles will do in the future because of competition coming from different devices.

The podcast is mixed by Joe “I got your Killzone right here” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover” by Paul Simon, and “Everything She Wants” by Wham.

It is weird how my editing time and the PlayStation 4 conference all lined up today. You see, because of all those coincidences, today’s You Like the Worst Stuff might be the most relevant one ever as Tony and myself sit down in a fireside chat to talk about next gen, what PlayStation 4bis (our official amalgam for PS4 and Orbis) might have packed into its bundle. We also talk about Nintendo, disappointment with the Wii U and so many other things.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, we were down a man without our fearless leader Mr. Haygood. But fear not podcast listeners, as Tony and Mr. Fourhman took the reins of the show and probably turned it into a Nintendo Direct podcast. Okay, well maybe not completely, but there is some discussion about the latest Nintendo Direct video, as well as a look at vaporware titles. You know, those great titles that are met with fanfare and trumpets at some elaborate announcement, only never to see the light of day.

This week on You Like the Worst Stuff, the hosts look at the intricacies of the upcoming console market and how Sony and Microsoft approach it. Will new consoles come this year, and if so, who goes first? Do we have backwards compatibility? More importantly, do large Rock Band and Singstar catalogs move forward to these new platforms? Can Tony and Fourhman ever decide on what a Gigaflop or a Teraflop is? Most of these questions are answered by the end of the show.

As we start off a new year, we also bring in a new year of You Like the Worst Stuff. And how do we bring in that new year? Why we bring it in by taking forever to get through our playlists, just in time to get to the top five games that each of us played in 2012. Where do we go with all of this. And can Haygood convince everyone that Mass Effect is totally the best game of 2012 by technicality of being released on a new platform? All of these secrets and more are revealed in the opening gambit for 2013.

And can Haygood convince everyone that Mass Effect is totally the best game of 2012 by technicality of being released on a new platform? All of these secrets and more are revealed in the opening gambit for 2013.

As you have come to expect from You Like the Worst Stuff, we do things a bit differently. So when most are talking about the greatest stuff of the year, we take it in a completely different direction by looking at the worst of the worst. I mean, we drag the bottom of the oceans to find some of the worst items that have come our way in 2012. You will laugh, you will cry and more often than not, you will grimace at the horrors we have endured over the past 12 months that you call 2012. Sadly, the Mayan Apocalypse did not save you from this travesty of a podcast. You can feel sad about that.

The podcast is mixed by Joe “Apocalypse Watch 2012” Haygood and includes, Joe Haygood, Tony Sadowski, Stephen Munn and Joe Fourhman on vocals. You can download the podcast directly from here or click on one of the links below to subscribe. The music for this week’s podcast is as follows (in order of appearance): “The Final Countdown” by Europe, and “End of the World as We Know It” by REM.
