Please rate this pun in number of robot guards out of ten.

Anyways… on to the news!

Those British-based creators of gamer fashion, Insert Coin, have managed to sneak past said guards to release a duo of tees in honour of Mike Bithell’s latest creation, Volume.

The stealth adventure has been in the works for some time and is making some awesome progress. I was lucky enough to play a special build of the game at the Loading Bar’s birthday celebrations, where a level was built to the layout of the bar. It was all there, right down to the owner behind the bar and the loos at the other end. If you’re a bit curious about the game and want to hear about it straight from the man himself, then here’s a little something for you!

Two tees are available from 12 noon on Friday March 27, both in guy and girl cuts.

The first is called Locksley, and is a nod to the main character that you play in the game. As an added bonus, the print will be done using toughened glow-in-the-dark ink!

Locksley

The second is called Gisborne, after the ‘bad guy’ corporation in Volume which shares the name of its ruthless leader. Two things you’ll notice about this one. First is the rather chilling yet cool corporate slogan on the back (Gisborne is a military contractor y’see), whilst the second is a rather familiar looking town that the company was established at. If the two names haven’t given it away, the game is set in a futuristic, and possibly dystopian, England.

As with most Insert Coin launches, the initial print does tend to sell out really quickly (I missed out on the initial run of the PlayStation jacket for example, but got it in the second run). Therefore, if you do fancy one of these t-shirts, it’s probably a good idea to jump in quick if you want it ASAP. Keep an eye out for when the tees go live on sale.
