As part of the second wave of classic remastered titles for 3DS, SEGA released 3D Fantasy Zone II W today on the 3DS eShop.
First released for the SEGA Master System in 1987 as a sequel to 1986’s Fantasy Zone, 3D Fantasy Zone II W lets players control a sentient spaceship named Opa-Opa to fight bizarre invader enemies. This re-mastered version upgrades all visuals from 8 bit to 16 bit graphic standards and combines stereoscopic 3D effects along with additional features to deliver cutting edge gameplay experience with a classic feel.
Additional features include:
- The ability to save games for later
- Stage Select feature allowing players to save and resume progress mid-game
- Adjustable difficulty settings
Furthermore, this game allows the player to experience two games in one, the re-mastered master system version of story mode Tears of Opa Opa along with an all new Endless Game Mode which takes place in the mysterious Link Loop Land.
Next up in the Sega Classics Series is 3D Thunder Blade coming in May on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
