StarCraft is a pretty big deal in my book. I’m a die hard Protoss fan and will be more than happy spending an afternoon watching the pros duke it out on a World Championship Series tournament.
I’m also a huge fan of a fan-made animation project, StarCrafts. This series is a brilliantly animated set of cartoons that takes brutal units like the Terran Marine and the Zerg, um, Zergling and cranks the cuteness right up to the max.
I mean, look at this wee Zergling!

As you can imagine, I might have got rather excited when I found out that a mod is being worked on to translate StarCraft 2 itself into the StarCrafts cartoon style.
An Indiegogo campaign has been set up to raise funds to make this a reality. Creators Carbot Animations are looking for at least $70,000 to create a full re-skin of the game based on the StarCrafts style. Stretch goals include a full campaign and the units from the upcoming expansion Legacy of the Void.
