Unleashed at the MCM London Comic Con last week; Konami, with the assistance of Triumph Motorcycles, revealed the ‘Venom’ based upon Snake’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain custom bike.
This was to celebrate the continued relationship between the two that has seen Triumph bikes feature in titles dating back to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Â Said to “reflect the hard-edged and stripped-back edge of the broken but unbowed hero that returns for the new game,” it certainly looks impressive.
Inspired by the Triumph Bonneville T100 that Snake will ride in MGSV, the custom build is tailored to tackle the wilds of Afghanistan and Africa with dirt-focused rubber on custom rims. The saddle was difficult to see, blending in with Snake’s “sneaking suit neoprene†finish (the rider will be as well hidden as Snake inside a cardboard box). Not to mention, if riding into dangerous territory wasn’t enough, the bike comes prepped with heavy-duty ammo racks so you can bolt on a few extra cases of .50 calibre ammo.
With an exclamation mark tail light to warn others of your presence and a custom black matte Diamond Dogs livery, the bike is loaded with extras that serve to make it that even more unique.
You truly have to admire the lengths that Konami and Triumph have went to in order to honour the series and give the fans something truly special.
MGSV: The Phantom Pain is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on Sept 1, 2015.
