During the Sony press conference at E3 it was revealed that a full remake of the beloved RPG Final Fantasy VII would be coming. Finally after many years of fan anticipation and speculation one of the biggest RPG’s of all time will see it’s return to the limelight with an updated game coming first to PlayStation 4.
Leading the development will be key members from the original team, including producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. First released on PlayStation 1 back in 1997, the RPG is universally regarded as a hallmark of the genre and received high praise for it’s epic storyline, unique characters and cutting edge technology; can square take all this on board and use the basis to move it into this generation.
