Jurassic Park is one of those films that has a nostalgic touch for many.

At it’s highest point in the late nineties and early noughties, it not only resulted in a film trilogy but it also stemmed a few interesting games including the popular Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis; a Theme Park/Theme Hospital style management game where the player got to build their very own park.

Over time, the hype died down and the series was seemingly put to bed. So when Steven Spielberg returned as executive producer for the latest instalment in the series, Jurassic World, people started talking.

Not only did the return into the Jurassic Park universe cause quite a stir in the movie industry, it was inevitable that the news was going to burst at the seams and fall into other media.

Popular for jumping into the Star Wars, Batman and Harry Potter series (amongst others) it isn’t surprising that in typical fashion, LEGO have taken the bull by the horns and added to their extensive catalogue yet again.

LEGO: Jurassic World will see the concept re-imagined with typical LEGO humour, sending players on an adventure through the film itself, recreating popular scenes and action sequences.

Players will have the option to take control of a T-rex, an obvious favourite in the dinosaur community, or to play as popular characters ranging from Dr Wu, Owen Grady or Jeff Goldblum’s character – Ian Malcolm.

With sandbox style exploration, players can venture into the wilderness of Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, the Jurassic Park islands.

Marking the fifty sixth entry into the back catalogue of LEGO games, the family friendly co-operative drop-in and drop-out multiplayer will return!
