Ubisoft confirmed the development of Zombi, an upgraded version of the previously Wii U exclusive, ZombiU, which is currently set for a digital August 18th release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Zombi is bringing the ZombiU experience to new gamers who might’ve missed out on the formerly Wii U exclusive game. The nail-biting survival experience has been optimized for PC/PS4/Xbox One. The game also ditches the multiplayer so it can solely be a focused single player experience.
Players will experience the original oppressive and intense elements that made ZombiU so innovative. The backpack is a necessary component for survival seeing as it contains all the player’s tools, inventory, first aid kits, maps and more. Thanks to permadeath, players are faced with a death mechanic which puts them in the body of a different survivor each time they die. In order to retain the equipment they previously gathered, they are forced to track down their old, infected character.
Ubisoft revealed how they’d adapt the game to gamepad-less systems on their blog.
