LBX: Little Battlers eXperience will be coming to Nintendo 3DS August 21 (Europe: Sept. 4). This game will be set in the same universe as the anime that airs on Nicktoons and is being developed by LEVEL-5, the folk behind Inazuma Eleven and Professor Layton.
Set during the first season of the anime, LBX tells the story of Van Yamano, a middle-schooler who happens to be really into the tiny LBX robots: a range of toys that used to be considered too dangerous to control (but now everything’s probably fine).
Then things happen and Van Yamano has to save the world. As well as his school.
The aforementioned battles take place in Battle Boxes, miniature worlds. Expect lots of customization options (there’s some 4,000 parts to customize with) and fast-paced combat.
This game will also have a multi-player option; up to six people can play in battles locally through a wireless connection.
