For all the retro Final Fantasy lovers out there, prepare to be pleased; the 1992 classic Final Fantasy V is scheduled to hit Steam on September 24th.
If you pre order now, players will obtain a 10% discount on the game through Steam, which should save you a tidy bit of gil somewhere down the line. Not only that, some cool new features have been announced; character designer Kazuko Shibuya has returned to recreate the graphics for an authentic, classic feel, and the controls have been updated, in order to make the game run more fluidly. As well as that, a newly optimised active-time battle system has been implemented, a new optional boss (designed by Tetsuya Nomura!), named Enuo, has been added in, and for all the collectors out there, a whole lot more of Steam trading cards and achievements have made the cut.
Finally, the job and ability system features 26 different classes, so players can customise their four heroes in any way they please. And what better way to put those skills to use by heading down the to The Sealed Temple, which has made it across from the GBA release in 2006.
With all this extra content, you’d be mad to miss out, but at least you don’t have long to wait! In the meantime, check out the trailer here:
