Minecraft: Story Mode put players in control of a Jesse; a male or female hero. You’ll be accompanied by a Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon. While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, Jesse’s friends discover that something is wrong and they must go on an adventure to save your world from oblivion.
The first of five episodes in the season will release digitally worldwide on Tuesday, October 13th for Mac, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. While the iOS and Android devices version will release two days later. It’s also scheduled to release on Wii U and PS Vita at a later date.
The game will also be available physically and will release in North America (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) on October 27th (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) and in Europe on October 30th. The retail edition will ship with the first episode on the disc and will grant access to the subsequent four episodes in the season as they become available to download via online updates.
Additionally, Telltale Games and Mojang will hold a special World premiere launch event in Hollywood, CA on October 12th at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome. The Minecraft community and Telltale fans are invited to a join in on the ‘World’s Largest Let’s Play’ as the audience directs the action on the big screen. Tickets to the event will be at no cost, and those wishing to attend must send an email here to save their sport as seating will be limited and tickets will be offered in advance on a first come first served basis.
