Ubisoft shared details on a new unit for their revival of the Rainbow Six franchise. This time around, Germans are showcased in the video above in the GSG 9 Siege operators: A Counter-terrorism unit. The unit features four new character classes: I.Q., Blitz, Bandit and Jäger
Players who had the chance to try out the beta a few weeks ago will recognize the classes. I.Q. can scan ahead for electronical devices such as motion activated bombs. Blitz is armed with a massive shield which can absorb some damage from enemy (or accidental friendly) fire. Jäger has a neat little trick where he can neutralize incoming projectiles. And last but not least, Bandit can make use of enemy protection, such as barbed wire, and turn it against them.
Rainbow Six Siege is scheduled to breach store shelves December 1st for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. If you’re still on the fence and missed out on the beta, feel free to read our impressions.
