Warner Bros. announced the release of five new packs tomorrow, Friday November 6th.
The new expansion packs are based on:
- Doctor Who: Includes an additional mission titled The Dalek Extermination of Earth and a LEGO-fied version of the 12th Doctor, TARDIS and K-9.
- LEGO Ninjago: brings the Kai and Cole minifigures to life with the Boulder Blaster and Blade Bike respectively.
- The Simpsons: Includes the Bart Simpson and Krusty the Clown minifigures along with their respective vehicles: Gravity Sprinter and Clown bike
- The LEGO Movie: featuring the Unikitty LEGO minifigure and her Cloud Cuckoo Car
Players can customise their gameplay experience with these Wave 2 Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Packs which provide an additional level, buildable characters, vehicles, and gadgets with special in-game abilities. Additionally, any expansion pack characte unlocks the corresponding Adventure World of the same brand.
They’ve also release a new update which features the Hire-a-Hero feature allowing players to sample a selection of Wave 1 expansion pack characters using studs collected in the game. Players can select the hologram minifigure near certain hint stones to unlock characters for a limited time to try out their special abilities to solve problems and complete puzzles. Also expect to have the opportunity to try characters from future expansion packs.
LEGO Dimensions is out now for PS3/PS4/Wii U/Xbox 360/Xbox One.
