Sequel to the critically acclaimed Bravely Default, Bravely Second: End Layer, will release across Europe on February 26th exclusively for 3DS. Additionally, Square Enix announced a demo will be available on February 11th which will allow players to unlock rewards in the full version of the game, depending on their progress.

Collectors will be able to pick up a Collector’s Edition which includes an Original Soundtrack CD, Agnès Mini Figurine (not an Amiibo) and a Deluxe Artbook of around 250 pages.

The game begins when the evil Kaiser Oblivion abducts Agnès Oblige, the heroine of Bravely Default, and her bodyguard Yew Geneolgia pledges to rescue her from the kaiser’s Skyhold, a fortress floating high over Eternia. Along the way, Yew will need to team up with Magnolia Arch and new and returning faces.

Players will be able to choose 30 classes, or jobs, in order to equip the necessary skills to survive.

Square Enix has also upped the ante with the battle system as it features more depth than its predecessor. Players must balance risk and reward in turn-based battles: characters can make multiple moves in one turn, but this leaves them unable to move in subsequent turns. One of the game’s new features is the ability to chaining multiple battles: after winning a battle in a single turn, players can immediately start another, more difficult encounter for the chance to earn increasing rewards.
