Pixel Piracy, a “side-scrolling, two dimensional real time strategy/sandbox/simulation game”, was originally released on Steam and will be brought to the Xbox One and PS4 in February by developer Quadro Delta and publisher 505 Games.

You play as a pirate captain that must recruit a crew and kit out your ship, before setting off to plunder the randomly generated open world. After looting the corpses of your fallen enemies and treasures from desert islands, you can get new weapons and ship assets as part of the “Pirate RPG Management System”. For those following in the wake of the PC version, do not fear – the controls have been worked over to ensure the console version plays just as smoothly, and all the update enhancements from Steam will be available too.

Pixel Piracy will be priced at $15/€15/£12 and will be available to download from Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store in February this year.
