Android and iOS users can register their interest in Nintendo’s first mobile application, Miitomo, to make sure they hear first when it is launched. Those interested in the app can make a “Nintendo Account” via social media accounts, email address or their Nintendo Network ID. Announced last year, Miitomo is a “social experience” that uses the famous Mii avatars from Nintendo consoles, allowing friends to answer questions and see each others answers, as well as sharing photos.

Last year Nintendo discontinued Club Nintendo in favour of the new My Nintendo, due to release alongside Miitomo in March this year. My Nintendo is designed to reward users for their interactions with a variety of Nintendo products and expand on experiences with services such as Miitomo.

For those who pre-register for Miitomo between February 17 and launch, a special bonus will be available for them. Miitomo is the first of five apps that Nintendo plan to launch by March 2017.
