Bandai Namco has announced the first season of Storm Championship, an eSports program designed to bring Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 into the competitive fighting scene.

Since its launch on 5th February 2016, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has already shipped more than 1 million copies.

“For the past few years we have been monitoring the growth of the Storm community across Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Australasia but also the growing interest around the competition. Last year we have launched the Storm-League, a platform to support those activities… This year we go even further by organizing the first season of the Storm Championship through the Storm-League! The first season will have a total cash prize of 15 000€ and starts this week! The first season will feature 16 of the best players from Europe, Middle-East and Eastern Europe who will playing for a total prize of €15,000! The Grand Finals will be held at ESL Studio in Cologne in partnership with the Electronic Sports League and will be streamed on twitch.tv/ESL & twitch.tv/bandainamcoeurope.
