With the promise of a massive 50 character roster, Sony and SNK Playmore can keep the hype going until the yet to be determined release date by revealing three characters at a time. With this newest trailer, it brings the number of revealed characters at 26.
The first character of the newly revealed trio is Athena Asamiya. She’s a familiar face to the long running fighting franchise as she’s been in every KOF games since King of Fighters ’94. Asamiya uses Chinese Martial Arts and Psychic skills to take down the competition.
Next up is Luong; a deadly femme fatale who uses her long legs to wipe out the competition.
And the final character for today’s reveal is Nelson. Young boxer fighting his way to be crowned the World Champion. Thanks to mean demeanor and his advanced robotic arm, Nelson is looking to mow down everyone that steps up to him.
Additionally, Sony and SNK also revealed a new stage. The South America stage has a beautiful blue sky as a background for all players to enjoy while dishing out punishment.
It’s a fictional level set at the foot of Iguazu Falls. The Iguazu Falls are Iguazu River’s waterfalls located on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná.
