Bethesda announced an open beta for Doom which will run from 15-18 April. Being an open beta, anyone can just jump in on the fun. This beta will feature Team Deathmatch and Warpath modes on the Heatwave and Infernal maps.

In a recent video series Bethesda showcased Doom’s maps, modes
and power-ups at players’ disposal.

Bethesda will also support the game with free content updates across SnapMap and multiplayer through 2016.

This year’s Doom will also bring something new to the table: SnapMap. This new component will let players create and share new content easily.

Additionally, Bethesda will also release three premium multiplayer DLC packs post-launch, which will include maps, hack modules, playable demons, weapons. The first DLC will be available this summer and include the following:

  • Three new maps
  • One new weapon
  • One new playable demon
  • One new armour set
  • One new piece of equipment
  • New hack modules and taunts
  • New customization colours and patterns

Each DLC pack will cost $14.99 / £11.99 / €14.99 or you can get them all with the Season Pass for $39.99 / £29.99 / €39.99.

Hell will be unleashed on May 13th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
