DICE have announced that 2016 will see the launch of Battlefield 1, set in the World War 1 era.
The Battlefield games are known for their epic multiplayer battles, and Battlefield 1 will allow up to 64 players in a match. Players are taken through France, Italy, Arabia, and more as they participate in deep, immersive battles.
Each match is different to the last as the environments change during play, and land, sea, and air can become a battleground.
“The game will deliver a fresh experience full of what makes Battlefield great, with a multiplayer sandbox, immersion, epic scale, authenticity, team play and an ever-changing world full of unexpected Battlefield moments,“ says Aleksander Grøndal, Senior Producer, DICE. “We’re inviting players on an epic journey across a war-torn world, taking them to the Great War and providing something both varied and unique in Battlefield 1.â€
Battlefield 1 will declare war on Xbox One, PS4 and Origin for PC on October 21. Until then, Battlefield Insider has opened to sign-ups, giving fans access to sneak peeks, exclusive content, in-game rewards, and access to the public beta for Battlefield 1.
