I’m not sure I can exactly place where it is, but watching this gamescom trailer for the upcoming platformer Yooka-Laylee triggered all sorts of nostalgia throughout.
Maybe it’s the colourful graphics with the cutesy characters. Maybe it’s the variety of puzzles, or perhaps it just looks simply, fun!
Yooka-Laylee is currently in development by Playtonic Games, a name you might recognise as a studio formed from key personnel from Rare that made games like Banjo Kazooie and Conker’s Bad Fur Day (THAT is where the nostalgia definitely came from then).
The game is being published by the folks at Team 17, and is expected to come out at the beginning of 2017.
