Players have been struggling to connect to EA’s Battlefield 1 open beta.
Apologising on Twitter for the downtime, EA acknowledged the problems but promised it was working to resolve the issues “as fast as possible”.

Turns out the issues lay not at EA’s door. A hacking group, which had launched a DDoS attack against the servers, has since claimed responsibility.
Today, the server seems a little more stable, but at the time of writing, many players continue to struggle to complete matchmaking.
EA recently revealed details of a premium pass for upcoming historical shooter, Battlefield 1. The $50 expansion offers new maps, modes, classes, weapons, vehicles, and armies, all of which will come two weeks early to pass owners.
