If you know StarCraft, then you’ll probably know about StarCrafts, the hilarious and always on-point cartoon series that parodies everything there is about the game. You’ll probably also have heard about a mod that re-skinned the game into the same art style that the cartoon series is famous for.

Now, I’m excited to tell you that the mod has finally been released and is ready for everyone to enjoy (and I mean everyone).

The StarCrafts mod reskins the game’s interface, all of the units, maps and even has a custom soundtrack to play by. You can either play against AI, invite your friends or cast the net out to play against a random player online separately from the antics of the multiplayer ladder. The detail is incredible across all aspects of the core game. For every StarCraft fan, it’s a must-play.

Now, since it’s posted on the StarCraft arcade it’s not part of the paywall that involves buying StarCraft 2 or its expansions. The Starter Edition of the game can be downloaded free of charge, which also includes access to the entire library of community-created games within the Arcade. If you have a Battle.net account already from any of Blizzard’s games, you can simply hit the download button in the Battle.net app. Otherwise, point your browser here to get yourself set up with an account and ready to download StarCraft 2 Starter Edition to your PC or Mac.
