Square Enix have announced that as part of a celebration of Final Fantasy 7’s twenty-year anniversary, along with the recent success of the new mobile RPG Mobius Final Fantasy, there will be a collaboration between the two titles.
The collaboration will take form in daily gifts for players, including summon tickets and growstars. However, the exciting news is that Square will be recreating the famed city of Midgar for Mobius.
Players will be given three instalments throughout February as they explore the new region. As you progress through Midgar, Square have teased players with news that weapons like the Masamune – the sword wielded by Sephiroth – and the ‘Aerith Echo’ will be available.
The collaboration will also deliver the Soldier first-class as a new warrior type for players.
If you haven’t played Square’s mobile RPG, you can download it from the app store, Google Play Store, and Steam now.
The collaboration event will run from February to April 1 2017 – so don’t wait too long!
