Ubisoft have announced that the latest Far Cry title, the fifth in the series, will get a worldwide reveal this Friday, May 26.
So far, the details are pretty sparse, the juiciest bit of information being that the game will be set in Hope County of the American Heartland. There has been some speculation that the game will take on a wild west theme, though there may be more to it than that.
Each of the teasers play on a growing tension: the serene nature setting broken up by ominous music, the man running into the open fields only to be shot down, and the eerie church choir singing from within an isolated chapel may point to something like a religious themed storyline, or perhaps a mixture of both.
Whether either idea is true will be answered this Friday when the announcement trailer lands, so be sure to check back for more news then.
