Hello again! I’m back with another Cosplay Round Up – you might remember my article from October last year, where I wandered along to the Square Enix Meet Up (arranged by the lovely people over at SE Cosplay) and took some wonderful photos of everyone’s hard work. Please see below for a fraction of the amazing cosplayers at the most recent MCM.

First up, Jeegar Shah as Auron from Final Fantasy X.

Jenny Webster as Cindy from Final Fantasy XV – perfect for the hot weather!

Jeegar as Auron and Marc Cummins as Cloud – Advent Children version, in an epic battle.

Samantha McLean over at Ebony and Ivory Cosplay as FFVI’s Terra.

Becky Cooke and Louis James in the background, as Aerith and Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII).

Some more of Louis and Marc in some pretty cool poses.

Hannah Marie-Jane (better known as Little Blue Eyed Freak over on Instagram) as FFVII’s Tifa Lockheart, and Marc again as Cloud.

D-Moonlight makes for a very pretty Yuna!

Quite possibly my favourite was Andrew McHale, in a genderbent version of Chloe Price from Life is Strange.

Breaking the Square Enix theme is Lorna Birrell from Cleyra Cosplay as Cardcaptor Sakura.

Perfectly matching the décor is Mikey Hunter from Cosplay Doth’Rah, dressed as Ifrit from Final Fantasy VIII.

And finally, the two together!
It was truly a privilege to get together with so many wonderful cosplayers this past weekend; the amount of effort, time, and skill they put into their cosplays is truly astounding and shows just how much passion they’ve put into not just they’re hobbies, but for video games in general. It’s great to see how mainstream the industry is becoming because it’s attracting fans from far and wide.
I’ll be back for October’s MCM with some more photos, some more talent, and hopefully, more new friends!
