Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the mobile smash hit! That’s right, Pokémon GO is still very much a thing.

To celebrate, Niantic and The Pokémon Company revealed their plans for the one-year anniversary event in a blog post, as well as some pretty cool new features and items.

So, what’s the low-down?

From now until July 24 at 1PM (PT), trainers will be able to find and catch Pikachu wearing Ash’s famous hat from the animated series. Also, a new Anniversary Box has been added to the store, which includes Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls and a Raid Pass. The box will be available at a discounted price of around 1200 coins. Time to stock up for those raids!

More news and content is expected over the next coming weeks, including more info on the Pokémon GO Fest Chicago in July, as well as other events in Europe and Japan to celebrate.

It was recently announced that there were 65 million active users who played Pokemon GO – not quite the Farfetch’d idea everyone thought it was – am I right?
