The NAMCO Museum has now gone live on the Nintendo Switch, across Europe and Australasia via the Nintendo Switch’s eShop.
If you’re not in the loop about this, it’s a classic arcade game compilation; highlights include PAC-MAN VS., PAC-MAN, Dig Dug, Galaga, Galaga ‘88, The Tower of Druaga, Rolling Thunder, Rolling Thunder 2, Sky Kid, Splatterhouse, and Tank Force.
With the NAMCO Museum, you can relive your glorious nostalgia any time, anywhere. The retro titles (PAC-MAN VS. sadly excluded) have an online ranking system, which means players can compete against each other all around the world; you can turn your Nintendo Switch into a mini arcade cabinet, if you fancy turning it on its side, to relive your childhood experiences.
With PAC-MAN VS., for example, three players work together as the ghosts to hunt down the fourth player, who plays as PAC-MAN, evading the ghosts and clearing the maze. You’ll need two Switch consoles to do this, though, as three ghosts will play on one console, and the fourth player as PAC-MAN on the other. You will be able to get a free eShop app that enables 1 – 3 players to join a multiplayer session of PAC-MAN VS. on a Nintendo Switch system, allowing for full multiplayer sessions using two Switch consoles and one copy of the full game.
So in short, have fun and enjoy the nostalgia!
