Square Enix has recently announced that a whopping 10 million players have played Final Fantasy 14 Online.
To clarify, that’s cumulative players as of today, including free trial accounts – which lets anyone create an account with up to 8 characters and access all of the content up to level 35, all with unrestricted play time.
That’s an impressive number by anyone’s standards, especially since the MMO suffered a disastrous launch in 2010. In 2013, Square Enix ‘wiped the slate clean’ and relaunched with A Realm Reborn, which wasn’t an easy task to do. Check out more on this incredible feat thanks to NoClip;
Square Enix noted that they believe that the success of its recent expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, as well as vast robust updates and patches, giving players new content.
