But will it be enough to restore its… honour?
Get your swords, armour, and war paint ready because Ubisoft are letting you fight for glory in this weekend’s free trial of For Honor for all platforms.
The free weekend will run from August 10 – August 13, with PS4 and UPlay players able to begin downloading the title from August 8. The trial will come to an end shortly before the release of the all new third season of For Honor entitled ‘Grudge and Glory.’
Though, the weekend should give participants enough insight to see if they want to purchase the full game, which will have discounts for the Standard and Gold Editions. With an online multiplayer that has received high praise from both the game’s community and media, players will get a chance to take part in five different game modes and have access to the campaign. Though from what the popular opinion is, the campaign is basically an extended tutorial for the multiplayer.
Ubisoft will be hoping that the free trial will help recover a healthy portion of players who have left the game for a variety of reasons since its release in February. And in a recent news story, PCGamesN reported that almost 95% had left the game by early June, so the move by Ubisoft is perhaps more out of necessity than generosity.
Either way, you’ll get the chance to have a go at one of the most talked about multiplayer experiences this year for free over the weekend, will you be taking part? Let us know in the comment or on twitter @ggsgamer
