Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition, available on iOS, Android, and Windows 10 devices, will be available later this year.

Players will be able to travel around Eos with Noctis and friends on the go, playing through the original story with chibi versions of the original cast! In addition to the graphical updates (and Gladio’s monumental shoulders), the controls have had a (necessary) overhaul, bringing in touch control that will be optimised for mobile devices.

The story will be retold across ten episodes, all of which will be available at the initial release, with the first episode being free to download and play. Though if you fall in love with Noctis and the gang, be aware that you’ll have to fork out for other nine episodes.

There is no official release date for Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition, other than ‘later this year’ but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

The Final Fantasy 15 universe does appear to be expanding as Square Enix also confirmed that the upcoming Playstation VR exclusive, Monsters of the Deep: Final Fantasy 15 is set for release on November 21, 2017. Pre-orders will also receive an in-game Samurai Outfit and a dynamic theme.
