Morning, all – we’ve kicked off Gamescom 2017 with a brand new trailer and some new info on Dragon Ball FighterZ – CollectorZ Editions, pre-order content, story mode, and how to register for the closed beta!

Europe is getting a FighterZ CollectorZ Edition for PS4 and Xbox One, which will contain a Goku 18cm diorama with an exclusive “Manga Dimension,” colouring, three arts boards, and a unique steelbook. Both the CollectorZ and Standard editions come with a pre-order bonus, including early access to the open beta in January, the ability to unlock two characters early (SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta), and two exclusive lobby avatars!

As for the beta itself, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can register now for the closed beta, scheduled to go live on September 16 and 17, 2017. They will be able to play Dragon Ball FighterZ online, with a total of 11 playable characters, including SS Goku, SS Vegeta, SS Teen Gohan, Cell, Majin Buu, Frieza (final form), Future Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, Android 18, and Android 16. As for the new trailer, it gives us a glimpse of story mode, the new characters, and the Party Match, with the new asset batch of the day. In this new online battle mode, one player will be in charge of each of the six characters during intense 3v3 battles. Android 16 and the duo Android 17/Android 18 join the fight alongside Krillin and Piccolo; with the resurrection of Android 16 and the invasion of the mysterious army corps, the super warriors starts to fall. Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to launch in February 2018, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
