Let’s be honest: Who saw this coming? When SFV was first released, Capcom stated that there’d only one version of the game (remember those various Street Fighter IV re-release?). Considering the initial game was a glorified demo and people wanted more content, Capcom opted to go back on their words by announced Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. The complete version of the game (which we should’ve gotten originally) will be available for PC and PS4 on January 16th 2018 both digitally and at retail.

The Arcade Edition includes the original content along with a handful of new content:

  • Arcade Mode
  • Extra Battle Mode
  • New V-trigger moves
  • Gallery
  • New User Interface
  • Season 1 DLC characters
  • Season 2 DLC characters

Arcade mode will let players choose rom six different paths and compete in matches against CPU opponents to reveal unique endings based on player performance. While Extra Battle Mode features a series of time exclusive challenges will be available for players to use their Fight Money for the chance to receive an exclusive premium outfit each month.
