Each week we’ll give you the low-down on the games that have been keeping the GGS Gamer staff busy on their consoles, PCs and handhelds.

Here’s what we’ve been playing this week …

Vikki

  • Assassin’s Creed Origins (PS4) – OMG HOW HAVE I NOT FINISHED THIS YET? I’m in excess 40-hours and I keep thinking I’m at the end, and then a whole mess of crap is uncovered and bang, there’s more Main Quests again! In a way, though, I don’t want it to end… One of the best Assassin’s Creed’s we’ve had in years.
  • Destiny 2 (PS4) – Oh don’t look so shocked, you know this’ll be on my list until the day I die.

Dan

  • Call of Duty: WW2 (XB1) – Considering I’m not a huge MP fan, I’m hooked on multiplayer modes with bots.
  • Friday the 13th (PS4/XB1) – The addiction is real.
  • Ninja Gaiden Black (XB1) – My love with this game will never die. No matter how much I hate Chapter 11.

John

  • Etrian Odyssey 5: Beyond the Myth (3DS) – It’s the only game I’ve had time to play this week, but it’s been a surprising treat. I explained in my review that this game is a fairly unforgiving experience and as much as I really do loathe a challenge, I can’t help but carry on. Whether it’s a situation presented to you that you have to solve, the constant threat of death, or the fact that it’s the perfect game for my morning commute, I don’t know – but I’m enjoying it!

Jay

  • Sonic Forces (PS4) – I am a huge Sonic fan but not the kind that makes his own Sonic character on DeviantArt, y’know the ones that are just recolours of Sonic. Sonic Forces is a follow up to the highly successful Sonic Mania that released a few months ago and whilst Sonic Forces isn’t as amazing as Sonic Mania, I’m still enjoying myself thoroughly.
  • Super Mario Odyssey (Switch) – Still having great fun with Mario, you can check out my review right here! This game is going to keep me company on my coach ride to Exeter on Friday morning.

Sarah

  • AER: Memories of Old (PS4) – I picked this up to review and don’t seem to have put it down since. Still make the occasional crash-landing though!
  • Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls (PC) – Nearly time for the new season!
  • World of Warcraft (PC) – The new raid has been announced for later this month, so hopefully that should inject some excitement while we wait for the new expansion!

How about you?
