Capcom has announced the 30th-anniversary collection for Street Fighter coming soon in May 2018; as if there wasn’t already enough things in life to make the owners of the originals feel old.

It seems like only yesterday that Ryu and Ken were introduced to gamers in the 90’s, and for me, there is no doubt it was one of the best and most played games of my younger years, thanks to the Super Nintendo bringing the action into the home from the arcade.

So, in a tribute to those long years of mano-a-mano combat, Capcom have bundled together twelve of the Street Fighter titles, giving them some arcade perfect balancing and graphical tweaks, and releasing them on all current gaming platforms.

The collection will include the following titles:

  • Street Fighter
  • Street Fighter II
  • Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
  • Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Street Fighter II
  • Super Street Fighter II: Turbo
  • Street Fighter Alpha
  • Street Fighter Alpha 2
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3
  • Street Fighter III
  • Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
  • Street Fighter III: Third Strike

Four of these games (Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III: Third Strike) will also have online multiplayer, where you will be able to challenge your friends. The online lobbies will support up to four players at a time, ready to do battle and rank up on the leaderboards for each online compatible title.

Diehard fans of the franchise can also indulge themselves with stunning pieces of concept art, biographies of the characters from the rosters of the various games, and even listen to the memorable Street Fighter tunes in the Music Player; what more could you ask for?

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in May 2018.
