The third controller in the Tech Series has just been announced today - the Xbox Wireless Controller – Combat Tech Special Edition.
With its traditional army aesthetic, it has the classic Military Green base colour (the same Military Green offered through Xbox Design Lab), bright orange accents, and military insignia. Like the previous Recon Tech and Patrol Tech controllers, this new one will also feature a textured, laser-etched grip on the front of the controller, and rubberised diamond grips on the back. The Xbox Wireless Controller – Combat Tech Special Edition will cost £60, and will be shipping to retailers on March 27, 2018.
The first controller in the Tech series, the Xbox Wireless Controller – Recon Tech Special Edition, launched last spring and comes in a sleek, dark grey military design, whereas the second in the product line (the Patrol Tech Special Edition) launched last autumn, and is available in a dark blue military design. These are also £60, and available from various retailers.
All Xbox Wireless Controllers are compatible with the Xbox One family of devices, and the Tech series controllers include a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth technology for gaming on Windows 10 devices or Samsung Gear VR.
