Ahoy there! As March 20 fast approaches, Rare have opened up the final beta for Sea of Thieves, the result of the Technical Alpha, Closed Beta, and Scale Test efforts.
The beta will run until 10:00am GMT on Sunday, March 11, and will feature Gold Hoarders quests from the Closed Beta, as well as Merchant Alliance voyages for the first time, and allowing players the chance to find occupied Skeleton Forts, giving a whole wealth of new gameplay opportunities. This is the biggest test yet, so Rare are definitely keen to see how many of you turn up!
To make sure everyone has the chance to experience to play, temporary holds on other players joining active sessions whilst the team manages overall player load, are to be expected. If there are player bottlenecks, all the latest news will be on the status page or Twitter. Also, just as with the Closed Beta, the Final Beta won’t be covered by an NDA, so players can stream, create videos, share clips, take screenshots, or do anything else they can think of!
