Call of Duty: WW2 is celebrating St. Patrick’s day with the themed community event, Operation: Shamrock & Awe, from now until April 3. During the event, players will have access to a limited time multiplayer playlist as well as limited gear collections and special Orders and Contracts.
Shipment 1944, a re-imagining of the classic multiplayer map, is available now – and for free – in early access for Season Pass owners and will be available to all from March 16.
The Leprechaun Hunt Moshpit playlist will include Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Domination modes, all of which will feature a zombie leprechaun hidden somewhere on the map. Killing the leprechaun will grant the player all of their equipped Scorestreaks full and ready to deploy. This playlist will only be available during the Shamrock & Awe event and will grant players 2XP from 17:00 pm GMT March 16 to 17:00 pm GMT on March 19.
Players will also have access to St. Patrick’s Day-themed gear, including uniforms, helmets, weapon camos, only available during the event.
In addition, Operation: Shamrock & Awe offers two new weapons: the M-38 Submachine Gun and the MG 81 Light Machine Gun. Both weapons have St. Patrick’s Day-themed variants, available only during Operation: Shamrock & Awe, though other variants of both weapons will continue to be available in the game once the community event concludes.
And if that’s not enough for you, a major content update is also now live, adding new item types including weapon charms and weapon reticles as well as updates to the Quartermaster and Supply Drop system.
Call of Duty: WW2 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
